Судья (среднего звена) решил, что нельзя заставить человека раскрыть пароль к зашифрованному диску, на основании Пятой Поправки.
Теперь ждем, наверное, законопроекта, вовсе запрещающего шифровку своих данных. Под каким-нибудь славным названием класса "Акт о защите детей от злодеев".
Здесь разница, насколько я понимаю (если принять аргументацию этого судьи), как раз в том, что пароль - не ключ, а информация.
