Leipzig is the city of very friendly Goths, English-speaking (with American and Australian accents) - in full garb, some even in leather, all black, including 30-cm platform shoes, many with umbrellas (also black), to better protect their carefully pasty faces. Considering it's upwards of 30 degrees here, they are at the same time fun and painful to look at. Whatever it is they are all doing here - I don't know.
