Вот сделать бы сериал. Эпизодов на дюжину. Близко к тексту. Хорошим ходом было бы так монологи Конхиса и оставить, без изобразительного ряда. Только чтобы темнело постепенно на террасе дома над морем ("...и увидел, что на Патриарших вечер"). Ну, на крайний случай - снимать, скажем, прогулку по дворцу де Дейканса, но из всех звуков - голос рассказчика за кадром.
