To those of you who think that you are somehow obligated to support a sleazy, incompetent, egomaniacal, power-hungry authoritarian statist against a sleazy, incompetent, egomaniacal, power-hungry authoritarian statist – good luck. You are about to get your wish.
(actually, I very much welcome the circular firing squad into which this thing degenerated; they both are completely damaged goods now, her doubly so, with zero chance of claiming a popular mandate and therefore unable to govern effectively from day one - just what we needed to restore at least a semblance of separation of power)
However, some of us (especially those living in the 13 states certainly electing one of the above-mentioned*
and the 17 electing the other**
) have an opportunity to make the vote actually count, for the first time in I don't know how many years. Specifically, in MA Johnson has a real chance to climb above 3%, and that would mean that for the next cycle the LP will have automatic ballot access (no more running around collecting signatures); check here
for your state.
